This paper presents a new computer aided teaching tool to the automobile design course, by which it can offer a difficult relief for the students in studying the design parameters influences of a complex hybrid control system with mechanical and electronical elements to entire vehicle's performance, e.g., velocity, moment, weight etc. The tools is implemented by supporting Modelica modeling language, which is suitable for a dynamic system modeling and simulation, and integrating MWorks, a modeling system based on Modelica developed by CAD Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (CCHUST), China. In the paper, the methods of teaching material preparation, teaching tool architecture design and implementation are discussed as well. The practice proves that the proposed method is feasible and can be extended to the other mechanical engineering courses teaching with the similar simulation requirement.
