Although information security is becoming more complex everyday, many organizations' security systems are failing, with serious results. More and more organizations are experiencing an increase in threats to computer systems and networks and the damage caused by malicious attacks. Because organizations rely heavily upon computers and network communication, network security failures and threats are a major business problem. So, organizations should consider information security cost management to maximize a security budget without compromising risk management initiatives. Information security cost management examines common pitfalls in security initiatives and recommends cost saving methods to achieve results.
