Zeng Xiangyun, Zhao Lianfeng, Bian Dong · 2013
MIPS, MIPS/W, MIPS/□, as processors' performance parameters, are determined by integrated circuits' process parameters such as working voltage V, working frequency f, chip area S and so on. Based on the research of multi-core processors, under certain IC process technology, with the constraints of power consumption P, chip area S, working frequency f, and with the setting that the tasks' parallel degree is 1, the function between the response time T and the number of cores N is deduced, and a design method for reducing the embedded multi-core processors' power consumption through multi-core architecture is proposed. Considering the difficulties in IC process technology's development, the significance of this method will be emphasized.
