Iterative digital multiplier based on cellular arrays of r.o.m.s

A new flexible multiplier design using r.o.m.s in a cellular array is presented. This economical multiplier operates at high speed without loss of accuracy, even when the number of bits increases, say, to 48 × 48 bits.
