Track following using an integrating television system on-line with a minicomputer

It is possible to build a track-following reader using an integrating camera tube on-line with a minicomputer. Essentially, only the data strobed within a programmable target window are acquired and stored during a full parallel-line raster. The new target window parameters are selected in the next scanning raster according to the data acquired within the window in the preceding raster. Results are displayed using the Plumbicon tube XQ 1023R (Philips).
