Uncertainty processing in gravity models of spatial behaviour. — The attraction exerted by a given destination on a particular generator depends on various subjective factors of which influence can be analyzed in terms of fuzzy subsets. Traditional statistics deals with the undetermined aspects of the interaction decision making by means of the probability concept. Fuzzy subsets theory offers a different mathematical approach leading to the notion of « imprecise spatial behavior ».
