CCITT recommendation X.25 as part of the ISO reference model of open systems interconnection

The CCITT Recommendation X.25 is discussed in view of the ISO Reference Model of Open Systems Interconnection. It is stated, that X.25 may serve as an access method of layer 3, 4 as well as 5, depending of the actual architecture. The flow-control principles of X.25 are discussed and a clarification is recommended.
