Lightbulbs with a Memory
Nathaniel R. Greene · The Physics Teacher · 2002
A series circuit of high-wattage incandescent lightbulbs exhibits memory effects based on whether the bulbs are still hot from previous use. Whereas the hot lightbulbs turn on immediately, the a series-connected cold bulb becomes luminous after a surprisingly long time delay.
