IDENTIFICATION OF DYNAMIC PROCESSES AT VARIOUS SYSTEM TIME CONSTANTS

Mohamed A. Fkirin · Cybernetics & Systems · 1991

Effects of various system time constants on the identification measures of model structure goodness are investigated. These measures are the summed squared innovations and unit-pulse response. Artificial time-varying records with unknown time delay, of short or long system time constant, are tested. Results show that the quality of lime delay estimation measures for dynamic processes is controlled by the values of the system time constant.
