Geometric transform invariant texture analysis

This paper concerns geometric transform invariant texture analysis, and in particular texture analysis algorithms whose performance is not affected by changes in scale, rotation angle, or perspective projection. The importance of geometric transform invariance is first discussed, and an overview of the existing scale and rotation invariant texture analysis approaches is then presented. The importance of perspective invariance is emphasized and current work on the subject is summarized.
