Game developing requires a lot of specialist such as programmers, planners, designers, sound engineers, service operators, and so on. The role of the programmer is to program a game to get full performance by taking full advantage of a given hardware. Game authoring tools make game programming easy. But, the game produced by the authoring tools is very limited. In this paper, we propose an easy–to–learn game programming engine written in Python programming language. Anyone can program a shooting game easily using the proposed engine, wxgame2. It was made in accordance to the philosophy of Python programming language. The engine provides a basic shooting game framework, which shows the necessary programming skills and the way of programming a shooting game in Python. Python makes the framework and samples easy to understand. Even non–experts easily will be able to learn the game programming.
