Analyse factorielle et lexicométrie : synthèse de quelques expériences

FACTOR ANALYSIS AND LEXICOMETRICS After considering the lexicometrical use for the factor analysis of correspondances, A. S. submits this analysis to a testing ground for lexical data. He examines how the number of forms considered influences the result of the analysis by conducting a series of experiments on two corpora, each having a specific structure. These experiments highlight the indiscriminant nature of the most frequent forms and make it possible to locate the group of frequencies which produce the best discrimination. They finaly show that the principal structure of the corpus is present at all levels of the frequency scale below a certain threshold.
