Remote and mobile control in domotics

The paper presents a system for remote control of distributed and networked drives and data acquisition devices. The system goal is to be integrated in monitoring systems for Intelligent Buildings. The authors developed and tested a wireless acquisition & distribution architecture (IEEE 802.11 "WiFi"-compliant) based on embedded webservers (with Ethernet-serial-Ethernet tunneling) at the drives' side and PDA/Communicators (Pocket PC Smartphones running MS Windows Mobile CE6) at the remote and mobile control side.
