Personal computers, laptops, PDA, electronic devices, mobile phones and machines all talk to each other exchanging very high volumes of data in different applications using IP-based network and the Internet of Things devices. According to Cisco's annual visual networking index forecast, it is estimated that internet video streaming and downloads will soon take over three fourth of consumer traffic by 2018. With the expected increase in online video viewing, particularly Internet of Things devices, such as wearable's or health monitors, network management will be even more critical. Today, a majority of access points in wireless local area network (WLAN) still use the legacy 802.11b or 802.11g standards.
