FURTHER RESULTS ON POSSIBILITY-PROBABILITY CONVERSION VIA RELATIVE INFORMATION AND INFORMATIONAL INVARIANCE
Guy Jumarie · Cybernetics & Systems · 1995
A concept of observed probability or similarly of relative probability has been obtained in the framework of a relative information theory that takes account of both syntax and semantics. It appears that this result is closely related to the possibility-probability conversion problem, and the main purpose of the paper is to get more insight into this property. For the convenience of the reader, we first bear in mind the essential of observation with informational invariance and then discuss various conversion formulas, which depend on whether the observation process is learning or dislearning. The concepts of local transformation and global transformation are introduced, and it appears that it could be wise to make a distinction between possibility distribution and cumulative possibility distribution.
