Features of a magnetic rotary encoder

A magnetic rotary encoder has several features different from those of an optical one : simple structure, quick response, good resistance to humid and dirty environments, easiness to get multi-functions and small power dissipation. According to those features, magnetic encoders are expected to be widely used.
