Multiple solutions for the 𝑝-Laplacian under global nonresonance

Manuel del Pino, Raul F Manasevich Β· Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society Β· 1991

Via the study of a simple Dirichlet boundary value problem associated with the one-dimensional p p -Laplacian, p > 1 p > 1 , we show that in globally nonresonant problems for this differential operator the number of solutions may be arbitrarily large when p ∈ ( 1 , ∞ ) βˆ– { 2 } p \in (1,\infty )\backslash \{ 2\} . From this point of view p = 2 p = 2 turns out to be a very special case.
