Postproject Review as a Source for Improvement Proposals
W. Durr, Franz Griesauer, Alfred Werni · 2003
Looking for improvement potentials in the softwaredevelopment has become natural in many organizations. But how can the focus be expanded beyond the softwareengineering processes, taking also organizational aspectsinto account? This paper describes a possibility to concludethe lessons learnt in a project by use of a Postproject Review instead of a Software Process Assessment. We have developed a simple approach, which is a mixturebetween data evaluation and brainstorming sessions. The main results of the Postproject Review are lowhanging fruits - improvements which can easily be implemented(with lowest effort) - and - on the other hand- improvements, which need further detailed actions andappropriate effort for the implementation.
