The JSYS Trap mechanism is an extension to the TENEX operating system which enables a process to define and control the virtual machine seen by other processes. Using the mechanism, a process can control the execution environment of other processes by providing them with a virtual machine that enlarges, restricts or completely redefines the "standard" virtual machine provided by TENEX.
