A Thinner Thinnest Path Using Directional Transmissions in a Network
Raymond Moberly · 2013
The thinnest path is defined herein as the route that minimizes the number of nodes within receiving range of a set of transmitting nodes, where the transmitting nodes act so as to relay a message from its sender to the intended recipient. Directional transmissions allow for a reduction in number of nodes within receiving range of the set of transmitting nodes, the average thinnest path solutions are reduced fifty percent in sample sets of ten nodes. The substantial exclusion reduces the probability of detection and message exploitation in a potentially vulnerable network.
