Development of On-board Diagnosis via CAN for a HVI (Human Vehicle Interface) Technology

On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) is a generic term referring to a vehicle's self-diagnostic and reporting capability. OBD-II is an advanced version of OBD-I in the view of both capability and standardization. Recently OBD-II interface is being used to detect vehicle status and monitoring system. Automotive black-box system is its related application. This paper was studied by the prototype of the system with the applications of CAN, Bluetooth, and OBD-II. That will help to make technicians or drivers understanding what happens in vehicle according to an Android based vehicle trip application for HVI (Human Vehicle Interface) technology.
