Application architectures for smart multi-device applications
Jacek Chmielewski, Krzysztof Walczak · 2012
The growing number of connected devices and increasing availability of solutions based on the concept of the Internet of Things make our environment increasingly smart and capable. However, existing application development processes and tools, designed for single device applications, do not allow developers to fully address this opportunity. It is very difficult to create applications that employ multiple devices and use the context information provided by ubiquitous sensors. In this paper, we present the concept of Device Independent Architecture, which can be used to separate applications from devices and which provides a uniform way of building smart multi-device applications.
