An Efficient Gradual Release Homomorphic Timed Commitment

2003, Pinkas first introduced the gradual release timed commitment, which has important applications for signatures/secrets exchange protocol and fair multi-party computation protocol. 2006, Garay et al. improved Pinkas’s construction by using a new variant of Garay-Jakobsson’s “time-lines”. However,in Garay et al.’s construction the committed value couldn’t be equal to 0.In the paper, we construct an efficient gradual release timed commitment based on Pedersen commitment and a variant of Garay et al.’s time-lines. In our construction, the committed value could be equal to 0, and our commitment has another important property: homomorphism.
