A refinement of von Neumann—Heinz theorem and related inequalities

The paper gives a quantitative refinement of von Neumann’s theorem with some relevant inequalities permitting to estimate from below the distance between the origin of the coordinate system and the so-called normalized numerical range of an operator acting in the Hilbert space.
