Nonlocal effects in propagation through absorbing media
John R. Jeffers, Stephen Mark Barnett · Physical Review A · 1993
We investigate the nonlocal effects of dispersion and loss on entangled photon pairs. These effects modify the coincidence properties in fourth-order interference. Absorption can increase or decrease the width of coincidence-count distributions. It can also wash out fourth-order interference by providing ``which-way'' information.
