Since Baillon [ 1 ] proved the first ergodic theorem for nonlinear non- expansive mappings in Hilbert space simpler proofs have been found (see Pazy [6], Djafari-Rouhani and Kakutani [4]), and corresponding results have been established for other nonexpansive iterations (see Bruck [3] and Pazy [7]).
