Low‐pass filters with maximally flat magnitude beyond the origin and arbitrary transmission zeros

Abstract An analytical procedure for generation of a special type of critical monotonic magnitude characteristic, having maximal flatness at a given frequency ω0 beyond the origin, with arbitrary transmission zeros, is presented. Compared with the known filters with maximally flat magnitude at the origin and the same transmission zeros, the new filters show distinct improvement in the cutoff performance.
