m -functions and inverse generalized eigenvalue problem
Kazem Ghanbari · Inverse Problems · 2001
We study the inverse generalized eigenvalue problem (IGEP) Ax = λ Bx , in which A is a Jacobi matrix with positive off-diagonal entries c i >0, and B = diag( b 1 , b 2 ,..., b N ), where b i ≠0 for i = 1,2,..., N . We use the concept of m -functions to solve the IGEP, which corresponds to the continuous case of the inverse problem.
