A Machine for Rapidly Processing Photographic Trace Recordings

Georgia Levenson · Journal of Scientific Instruments · 1950

A small machine is described for processing photographic trace records. The 35 mm. photographic paper passes through a small trough of cold developer and is then brought into contact with a heated drum. The paper is exposed at the point where it meets the hot drum and the trace becomes visible within 1 sec. The paper leaves the drum in a dry condition in which it is sufficiently stable to be exposed in white light without need for immediate fixation.
