High-Efficiency Data Converters
Gabriele Manganaro, Tatsuji Matsuura · 2008
The design of energy-efficient data converters has established itself as a clear technology trend since many years. The relentless drop in supply voltages has been beneficial to power savings in digital circuits while it has offered many challenges to analog design. Nonetheless, skilled designers have successfully introduced new architectures and techniques for power-efficient analog-to-digital conversion in deep submicron technologies. Such increasingly leaner converters are enabling new applications especially in the sensors mobile communication and computing areas.
