Abstract Let T1 and T2 be strictly contractive operators whose Lipschitz constants satisfy the relation x1 + x2 < 1. The aim of the paper is to give conditions under which there exist iteration procedures whose speed of convergence is higher than that one of the usual procedure (*) xn = T1xn‐1 + T2xn‐1 and whose complexity (expense of computer time) is less than that one of (*).
