PDP-11 minicomputers are used extensively at the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory for networking a set of large scientific computers used for both batch and time-sharing applications. This paper describes the LASL Central Computing Facility network configuration, and includes some of the author's views of the future for computers and networks. 3 figures.
