Relation between impulse response moments and locations of poles and zeros of digital filter

A. Khare, Toshinori Yoshikawa · Electronics Letters · 1991

Parameter quantisation in digital fiters causes deviation in the characteristics because poles and zeros move away from their desired locations. The usual sensitivity measures involve cross terms of zeros and poles and are hard to express as the effect of individual poles or zeros. We show a linear relation between the zeros and poles and the moments of the complex of impulse response in time domain which is useful in such studies.
