Modular packet switch with multiple phases and replicated planes

Some modular switches for BISDN have recently been proposed. They can achieve high performance with output queueing and they can be implemented by using small modules. However, they have either high overall complexity or other problems. In the Letter, a new modulator switch is proposed that has high performance and low complexity.
