Crossing symmetry and coherent states

We show, on general grounds, that the connected $T$ operator can be written in a diagonal form in a coherent-state representation. Such an expression automatically yields crossing-symmetric $n$-particle matrix elements. We use this technique to establish a connection between dual resonance models and field theory.
