D-RDT: a Multi-channel MAC Protocol for Dense Multi-hop Wireless Sensor Networks

Multi-channel technology can reduce the interference and improve the performance. Based on the receiver directed transmission (RDT) multi-channel MAC protocols, we propose the D-RDT protocol by using dual default channel switching mechanism to address the multi-channel hidden terminal problem in RDT protocol. As shown in the simulation experiment results, the D-RDT protocol can be applied to dense multi-hop wireless sensor networks.
