A new universal logic gate (ULG3) based on the Reed-Muller canonic expansion

This paper proposes a new and efficient universal logic gate module, the formulation of which is based upon the Exclusive-OR Reed-Muller algebraic expansion. In the development of this module, use is made of a recently proposed geometric construction, whereby the coefficients of a Reed-Muller expansion may be plotted and manipulated. It is shown that the now module hue a structure which is closely related to a previously determined universal logic gate, the development of which was based upon a sum-of-products algebraic basis. Together these two modules form the most satisfactory general-purpose ULG3 modules which can be proposed.
