Multiple Synchronous States in Static Delay-Free Oscillator Networks

Oscillatory neuro computers may be implemented by networks of oscillators. In these computers, multiple synchronous states of the network are associated with different patterns to be memorized. In this way, memorized pattern are retrieved as different synchronous states are achieved depending on the initial phase differences between nodes. Using a general network model, whit sawtooth coupling characteristic between nodes, we give upper bounds for the number of possible synchronous states for the network and we show, numerically, that even in a static three-node network, multiple synchronous states may exist for the network, and that the achieved state depends only on the initial conditions of the network.
