On modeling for pervasive computing environments

Rodrigo Campiolo, Vivian Cremer, João Bosco Mangueira Sobral · 2007

Modeling ubiquitous computing environments are complex tasks due to heterogeneousness and complexity of the inherent elements in such scenarios. For such, a deep study about all properties and features of these environments is needed. This paper specifies and discusses the requirements, features and some essential functions for modeling of these environments in order to we can build a simulator for such environments. Our modeling is helped by object-oriented formal specification language: Object-Z. As a consequence, the model provides structures to represent, analyze and discuss the aspects for modeling and to prepare the way for the simulation in several ubiquitous computing scenarios.
