The Exact Evaluation of 2‐way Cross‐classifications: The Combinatory Distribution

Abstract A practical methodology is presented for the exact combinatory evaluation of 2‐way cross‐classifications. The combinatory distribution is based on a test‐statistic relating to the information content of an observed table. Several examples of exact evaluation accompany this presentation.
