Generalised extrusion of polyhedra

An extrusion operator is defined which allows the generation of a wide class of solids.The new operator corresponds to a disjoint union of products between cells in a decomposition of the polyhedron to be extruded, and suitable l-dimensional polyhedra.The formulation is independent of dimension.Assuming that a simplicial decomposition of the input polyhedron is given, an algorithm for the computation of a simplicial decomp~ sition of the result is presented, and its complexity is discussed, 1
