All the spectral outputs or the proposed two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform circuit are obtained simultaneously in real time by using a switched-capacitor circuit realization. This is achieved by making available all the trigonometric function circuits and by adopting a parallel input image method with m time functions in the row direction (m means the number of samples in the column direction). The experimental results are shown as a basic raster of 8 × 8 points. Furthermore, circuit realizations for more practical applications are considered. It seems that the proposed system would be effective for image recognition or for the analysis of moving images.
