EVALUATING THE RATE OF AGGREGATIVE RISK IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT USING FUZZY SET THEORY

Shyi‐Ming Chen · Cybernetics & Systems · 1999

This paper presents a new method to evaluate the rate of aggregative risk in software development, where the grades of risk and the grades of importance of risk items are assessed by linguistic values represented by triangular fuzzy numbers. Because the proposed method uses simplified arithmetic operations rather than the complicated arithmetic operations it can be executed much faster than the one presented in Lee 1996 . The proposed method can also be used in the environment in which the grades of risk and the grades of importance are directly assessed by triangular fuzzy numbers or trapezoidal fuzzy numbers.
