Delivering biometrics as part of a wider security infrastructure

Organisations have traditionally opted to include biometric technology as a standalone access control solution, citing the perceived cost and complexity of making disparate security systems ‘talk’ to one another as the main decision driver. However, as the lines between security systems blur, organisations are exploring the use of biometric technology to deliver end-to-end capabilities, to include the integration of biometric access control solutions with CCTV and intruder systems.
