Ancilla—A server for the cambridge model distributed system

Abstract This paper describes the steps involved in writing a server for the Cambridge Model Distributed System (CMDS). The first part of the paper describes the essential components of the system and is followed by a description of the Ancilla server. Finally a number of conclusions are drawn.
