Implementation Framework for Integrated Design Teams

SUMMARY The implementation of techniques such as total design/concurrent engineering is driven by the commercial pressure of meeting customer demands while maintaining profit. Collapsing new product lead times is essential to satisfying customer and shareholder alike. This paper outlines a method for implementing total design/concurrent engineering which uses teamworking and learning methods to increase implementation success rates and reduce implementation cost.
