La (dés)-intensification dans les adjectifs latins : les morphèmes de degré

Summary Latin gradable adjectives can be modified by prefixes and suffixes which can be intensifies or disintensi fiers. They have the semantic particularity of showing the notion of a scalar progression, a subcategory of quantification. They could be called scalar morphemes. The intensification may be either towards a high or a low degree of realisation of the notion. We study here three productive scalar morphemes :
