The readability of australian newspapers

The reading difficulty of 9 daily and 5 Sunday newspapers was calculated using Flesch's readability formula. Findings suggest there is a wide range of reading difficulty between and within papers-a range of difficulty from “7th or 8th grade” to “high school and some college.” Morning papers were also compared with evening papers with respect to reading difficulty.
