Integrating lesson planning and class management

Classroom management and the planning of lesson content are common features of teacher-training courses, but the complex relationship between them is relatively unexplored. On the basis of the author's experience of teaching and teacher training at secondary and elementary school levels, this article suggests why and how class management should play an integral part in our selection and sequencing of lesson content.
