The Klez worm family is one of the most successful of all time. The first variant in the family was discovered in October 2001. Since that time, one or more Klez variants have been one of the top-ten, most prevalent malicious codes in the wild. Even when highly destructive pay- loads loom on the horizon, and large numbers of end users update anti-virus software against such threats, Klez continues to spread prolifically in the wild.
